Brushing the dog

It truly is amazing how much babies learn by just watching. I just got this dog brush and have only brushed Casey once or twice but the brush was just laying there and Samarah grabbed it and went over to Casey..

And tried to brush her! it was so cute! I didn't know she saw me even brush Casey but she knew right what to do!

Casey is such a good dog, i love her and how tolerant she is

Where did my easy going baby go????

Samarah is such a happy baby! or WAS! I don't know where that went! She was so happy all the time, so easy going, content with whatever all the time. She was so good!
NOW she cries over EVERYTHING! I shut the fridge she cries and throws a fit. She tries to get a dirty diaper out of the garbage I tell her its yucky dont' touch and she throws herself on the ground and cries.

She is starting to flip her body and head back and throw herself on the ground. She hits her head, she bashes me in the face with her big head. All the time she does this! Over the silliest things!

She throws a fit when I try to change her diaper and put her clothes on (well, half the time at least) I don't know what to do! Is this the stage of the terrible two's that everyone talks about? she's 15 months!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do???

I don't know if its an attention thing, if she's tired, or what! I have started putting her to bed earlier, I still pay tons of attention to her, if i'm doing the dishes I try to pull up a chair and have her stand beside me, she helps 'fold' the laundry, i read books to her whenever she brings me one. Is it not enough, is it a growth spurt, is it just a phase? its frustrating how nothing makes her happy anymore! I love her, but man!

Anyone???

Samarah's first time in the snow!

So last year Samarah was so new but besides that it didnt snow like at all last year.. So this was really her first experience with it.. And I dressed her up and put her in the snow.. (I was in tennis shoes and a sweater and fine but she's a kid and she froze it was nowhere near enough clothing! i felt so bad. i'm still learning all the differences, how much more babies need to be dressed. I should have had her in freaking snow suit, double layered onesies underneath, boots. Sigh. Mommy in training.)

 

I set her down on the shovelered part and she just stepped right in the snow and loved it!

The night it snowed we had her outside we went to the Gateway mall and she just kept throwing her head back and watching the snow fall and letting it hit her on the face. it was so cute! i love getting to see all the new things she experiences! She's at the age where she has fun now and is so fun to be around.

That would be me. And it hurt!! My dentist has been telling me to get them out for forever but I was like why spend the money if they aren't even through?

 

 

And then I felt one of them in the back.. coming through. Sigh. They are angled so if it continued to grow in it would jack up my regular teeth! So I made the appt..  thank goodness I only got ONE squirrel cheek!

 

I also dyed my hair the day after.. so here is an updated pic of my dark hair with my squirrel cheek! Haha. Its been a long time since i have had solid dark hair! i almost ALWAYS have highlights, whether only a little or a lot!

 

Hopefully I heal quickly, i have the weekend to recoop then got to go back to work!

Shovel your sidewalks please!

PLEASE PLEASE shovel your sidewalks!! Some people still like to take their kids/dogs on walks in the winter and it is so hard when people don't shovel their sidewalks!! Trying to push a stroller through it sucks and after it freezes and gets all lumpy its near impossible..

So then we people move out to the road but the snow is all packed on the side of the road so we have to walk WAY out where the cars are and its dangerous... whatever your reasoning is.. cold, lazy, don't feel like it.. remember someone you care about might still need to use the sidewalk and it'd be nice to not have to walk in the road..

I saw a lady in a wheelchair having to go almost into the lane of travel because for a stretch no sidewalks were shoveled and snow was piled all down the side. she almost got hit! sad. be considerate.. it doesn't take that much effort, really :)

First bow in her hair!

Samarah finally has enough hair to BARELY put a bow in, and i mean barely. its not really in the middle of her head its not quite long enough in the front so its more in the back but i had to get a picture!! It didn't stay up and she ripped it out anyway.. but we are getting there! Bald baby lol

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

So I would have actually had this up on Halloween, but I put Samarah in her crib and realized I left the camera in there with her.. and I didn't want to wake her up. So its only one day later but that is pretty good for me!

So remember awhile back I did a post about why we call Samarah 'HAM'?  When we saw this costume, I could not resist. So perfect.

I was putting her costume on in the morning to make sure it fit and she took off with her hooves on!

So both me and Chris normally work evenings.. So I didn't think we'd do anything with Samarah. But chris work gave it to him off and I decided to take the afternoon off and be a mom. and i am so glad that I did.

Chris brought her down to Springville's main street trick or treat and she did so good just fascinated with all the costumes and people! we came home had dinner, passed out candy and enjoyed seein our lil ham!
