My beautiful baby girl!! I took this a few days ago and caught her smiling when we were on our walk, its so cute I love it

I just learned something SO awesome! I have all these pics on my phone (basic phone not smart phone or fancy phone) and I want so bad to post some of them.. and i just figured out i can send them to my email via text message!! YAY!! i can put them on the computer then delete them on my phone. i'm so excited. Cuz i capture some good pics with my phone cuz i don't have my other camera with me hardly ever. I am SO excited!

Birth details

I'm still trying to get the hang of this blog and I accidentially posted that without more details! I wanted to give a full description of her birth and everything but it would be far too long, so i will make it super brief. Samarah was born on August 4, 2011 at 11:43 pm. She was 7lb 6oz and 20 and 1/2 inches long! Her due date was July 31st, and let me just tell you.. every day past your due date feels like a lifetime!

I labored all day at work then checked in to the hosptial at 4pm and was dilated to a 5 1/2. I wanted to go natural... but contractions hurt so freakin bad! They are like nothing that can be described, women are amazing to go through it. I made it till i was dilated to a 7 1/2 and the contractions were no longer giving me a break, about 8 pm. I wanted to go natural cuz women did it for thousands of years and survived just fine.. but it is hard when you know being pain free is just a needle away! But i did last quite awhile!!

I pushed for 2 hours, she was posterier (sunny side up) she didn't budge, we used forceps and she finally came out!

 We didn't find out what we were having and it was so awesome to push and have Chris announce it! If I ever have any more kids (Which I can't even think about contemplating right now!) I don't want to find out what any of them are! it was so fun. I don't want to make this crazy long. I'll add more details in the next post!

"Jam"

This is a disguise! If I saw it, I would think Raspberry, or strawberry jam. Right? Well, I went over to a friends house on friday night to make jam. It is jam, but its fake jam! We made green tomato jam! Brandi said if I had leftover green tomatoes from the garden, that we should make green tomato jam. I was super skeptical But went over and made it. It is so super easy way easier than regular jam. And I had my first taste of it this morning. It is SO YUMMY!! it tastes like raspberry freezer jam. I don't think I will ever make regular jam after learning this nifty recipe!!!! And there are always green tomatoes left over. Brandi's daughter and husband watched Samarah. I had a blast. Thanks Brandi!

Samarah's baby blessing

On Sunday October 9, 2011 we got Samarah blessed! She did so perfect! She slept during church and through the blessing! My dad blessed her, I'm so glad that my dad is still around to do it. We came back to our house and had pork on rolls and desserts. The day was gorgeous!! It turned out absolutely perfect. But I was super stressed and running around like a chicken with my head cut off when we got back. I didn't get hardly any pictures taken! But here is what I got

My dad was so cute. After he blessed her he started walking back with her to give her to me and when he was almost to me, he turned in midstep and went and sat down with her.

Too much to say!

I feel like I need to start from the beginning of my life up to now! that would be way too much. I haven't figured out really how to use this blog yet so pictures and fancy things are going to come later. But lets see. Life. I guess  I feel like where my life begins was getting married.. That is one of the most significant things thus far in my life! I got married to Chris in April 2008. I love that man so much. We bought our first home in August of 2009. We just had our first baby, a baby girl Samarah, on August 4, 2011. And wow how life has changed!
I will probably continue to just do little updates here and there till I get this thing established then I will make it more about my day to day life! I know the blog is boring right now! it will get there don't worry.
Oh, and it was in the 80's last week, and its freaking snowing today, like a lot. This is so lame.

Giving in

Well... I think I am one of the only people left on the planet who does not have a facebook. So, I decided to give in to the blogging storm.. Its a social outlet, yet nothing like facebook. So I think I will survive :) ha. I enjoy writing in a journal and I think this will be a fun mini version of my thoughts, feelings, and life events that my friends and family can look at if they want. I can post pics and keep people updated. I am writing this one handed cuz my baby fell asleep in my arms..so there will be more to come!
